The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota/Twin Cities invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in each of the following three areas, Experimental Particle Physics, Astrophysics/Particle-Astrophysics/Cosmology, and Theoretical Particle Physics.
Successful applicants are expected to have at least two years of postdoctoral experience in the field and must have demonstrated the potential to conduct vigorous and significant research programs. The ability to teach physics effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is required. Senior applicants may be considered for tenured appointments if they have a demonstrated record of accomplishment, scientific leadership and creativity. The School has strong programs in each of the fields in which candidates are being sought. Detailed information may be found at www.physics.umn.edu which is the School’s web site.
