The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor and/or tenured Associate Professor and Professor positions in the area of Experimental Condensed Matter and Materials Physics.
A successful applicant is expected to have at least two years postdoctoral experience in the field and must have demonstrated the potential to conduct a vigorous and significant research program. The ability to teach physics effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels is required. Senior applicants are expected to have a demonstrated record of accomplishment and leadership as evidenced by the establishment of an ongoing externally funded research program and evidence of outstanding creativity supported by their publication record and letters from recognized leaders in the field. Condensed matter physics is a major research area at the University of Minnesota, currently involving 12 faculty members. The starting date is to be arranged.
