Kakalios on the Science of Watchmen

                                                       

School of Physics and Astronomy Professor Jim Kakalios is a science consultant on the upcoming movie Watchmen.

Kakalios reveals one of the specific science questions he answered for the films producers, "Are Doctor Manhattan's super powers possible?" Kakalios uses exclusive clips from the upcoming film to illustrate the quantum mechanics behind Doctor Manhattan's ability to be in two places at once. He discusses how Doctor Manhattan’s super powers might be possible in a clip produced for the Youtube Driven to Discover channel.

Kakalios also discussed the Science of Watchmen on the KQRS morning show. He discussed his role as science consultant to the Watchmen on Ain't it Cool News and Newsarama.

He also appeared on Science Friday the day the film opened.
