William (Bill) Ketzeback (M.S., B.S. 1994, Astrophysics, Advisor: T. Jones)

Professor Terry Jones was my advisor. I majored in astrophysics.

I have several favorite memories from school. Many involve spending time working in Dr. Roberta Humphrey's Automated Plate Scanner lab, the IR lab, and O'Brien Observatory. I have been married for ten years to my wife Lisa. We have three children, Ben age 25, Keegan age 22 and Maggie age 8. We live in the village of Cloudcroft, New Mexico. I enjoy spending time with the family. My hobbies include reading and researching my family history. I have been at Apache Point for 12 years. I started as a telescope operator and support Astronomer for 7 years. I have been the telescope engineer for the ARC 3.5-m telescope for the past 5 years. I now supervise the engineering and maintenance staff for three of the four telescopes at the observatory. I have fond memories of several of the professors in the Physics and Astronomy Department, Drs. Skillman, Humphrey, Gehrz, T.Jones and TJ. Jones were my favorites. Currently Chief Telescope Engineer at Apache Point Observatory, Sunspot, New Mexico. M.S. 1996 advisor H. Mel Dyck. After graduation: New Mexico State University
