Nikolay Kovalev

B.S. Physics, Engineering Emphasis

Nikolay has conducted research on Cosmic Ray Showers and Light Diffraction on Extended Bodies. He also worked as a Research Assistant at the University’s NOvA Laboratory, and participated in the University of Minnesota Solar Vehicle Project. In addition to his Physics Degree, Nikolay will graduate with minors in Mathematics and Astrophysics.

He is currently seeking employment in Medical Device Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with physics applications, and later plans to attend graduate school for Medical Physics.

During his time as an undergraduate, Nikolay conducted research on Cosmic Ray Showers and Light Diffraction on Extended Bodies. He also worked as a Research Assistant at the University’s NOvA Laboratory, a major international particle physics experiment studying neutrinos, and participated in the University of Minnesota Solar Vehicle Project.

In addition to his Physics Degree, Nikolay will graduate with minors in Mathematics and Astrophysics. He is currently seeking employment in Medical Device Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with physics applications, and later plans to attend graduate school for Medical Physics.
