Karley Weir

B.S. Physics, Teaching Emphasis
She will be graduating with a double major in Astrophysics, in addition to her Teaching Physics degree. For her academic achievements, she was awarded the Laverne and Ted Jones Scholarship in academic year 2012-13. She has been an active member of the Society of Physics Students since 2009.

After graduation, she will attend graduate school at the University of Minnesota in the College of Education and Human Development, earning her Master’s degree in Education to eventually teach physics in secondary schools.

In summer 2012 Karley participated in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), conducting research with Professor Charles Woodward.
