Senior Faculty in Theoretical Physics

                                                       

The William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute and the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota are looking to fill a senior position in theoretical physics with an outstanding scientist.

The appointee will have tenure in the School of Physics and Astronomy and will be a member of the W. I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute. Membership carries with it a number of attractive benefits, including a reduced classroom-teaching obligation, a discretionary research budget, as well as access to funds for visitors, and for running workshops. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in physics, and must be able to present substantial evidence of outstanding creativity in theoretical physics research, supported by a significant publication record and letters from recognized leaders in physics. They will be expected to conduct a vigorous and significant research program and to teach effectively at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
