Bergstedt receives NSF Fellowship

Kendra Bergstedt a graduating senior in the School of Physics and Astronomy has received a fellowship from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The program recognizes outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science. Bergstedt was one of 12,000 applicants competing for 2,000 awards. She will receive a stipend of $34,000 for three of the next five years and will use the fellowship to pursue a Ph.D. in Plasma Physics at Princeton University.

Bergstedt studied space physics for two and a half years with advisors Lindsay Glesener and Cynthia Cattell.
