Outstanding Achievement Award


Heinrich Jaeger will be presented with the U of MN s Outstanding Achievement Award on February 20, 2002

The University of Minnesota Outstanding Achievement Award will be presented to Professor Heinrich Jaeger of the University of Chicago in a special reception on February 20, 2002. The award presentation will take place at 3:00 p.m. in Room 101, Walter Library. Professor Jaeger will then deliver the Physics Colloquium at 4:00 p.m. in Room 131 Tate Lab of Physics. This award is presented to Professor Jaeger in recognition of his scientific accomplishments in three research areas of Condensed Matter Science: the study of granular media, vortex dynamics in superconductors and mesoscopic physics. Professor Jaeger received his Ph.D. (1987) and M.S. (1982) degrees in Physics from the University of Minnesota.
