Compton receives award for presentation


Rob Compton (Research Associate, physics) was the winner of the Best Student Presentation Award at the 10th Joint Intermag/MMM Connference in Baltimore for his presentation "Dynamic Depinning of Magnetic Vortices."

Up to eight finalists were chosen from a pool of nominees from both theoretical and experimental research in the field of magnetism and magnetic materials. Compton will receive $1000 research fellowship as apart of the award.

Xiaohua Lou (Research Associate, physics) was also a finalist for the award and received a $250 fellowship.
