A colloquium honoring the careers of high energy experimental physicists, Professors Earl Peterson and Keith Ruddick, will be held on Wednesday, November 14. The colloquium title is "From the pre-quark era to neutrino oscillations: experimental high energy physics at Minnesota."

The colloquium will feature personal recollections from both Ruddick and Peterson on the high energy experimental physics program at Minnesota.

Professor Peterson retired from teaching last year, but is still active as Principal Investigator of the Sudan Research Laboratory in Northern Minnesota. Professor Ruddick retired from teaching this year, but is still active in the MINOS and Nova projects.

The colloquium is part of the regular schedule and will take place at 4:00 p.m. in Physics 131. As usual, the talk will be preceded by refreshments at 3:30 p.m. in Room 216.
