The William I Fine Theoretical Physics Institute (FTPI) held two international workshops this spring and announced a third in the fall.

FTPI held workshops on the topics of Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and Quantum Magnetism. On the heels of these successful events, the Institute announces a new workshop "Neutrino Frontiers" coming in October, 2008.

The Eighth Workshop on Continuous Advances in QCD, "Continuous Advances in QCD 2008," was held at the William I. Fine Theoretical Physics Institute on May 15-18, 2008. It was the latest in a series, begun in 1994, which has grown into a major international event.

The Workshop on Quantum Magnetism held May 2-4, 2008 brought together leading experts in the theoretical and experimental study of quantum magnetism.

Registration is now open for the Neutrino Frontiers workshop, to take place October 23-26, 2008 at the Twin Cities Campus of the University of Minnesota. This workshop will bring together both theorists and experimentalists with a wide range of expertise to discuss the current status of research on properties of neutrinos, their effects on cosmological and astrophysical processes, and the interplay between theory and ongoing and future experiments. Participants are requested to register by July 31, 2008.
