Construction has begun on the new Physics and Nanotechnology building and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013. The $83 million facility will house 125 new offices and 40 new state-of-the-art laboratories. It will feature a 5,000 square foot clean room and a "high bay" for assembling large experimental equipment. The site is located at the corner of Beacon and Union Streets, just north of the Scholar's Walk.

You can see the progress on the new building at the CSE webcam.
