Mandic wins McKnight Professorship

Professor Vuk Mandic was named a 2010-2012 McKnight Land-Grant Professors for his research "Searching for Gravitational Echoes of the Big Bang." Mandic was chosen one of ten winners from the University.

The McKnight Land-Grant Professorship competition is a career development program for junior faculty. The McKnight Land-Grant Professorship is a two-year appointment that includes a research grant in each of the two years, to be used at the recipient's discretion for expenditures directly related to research and scholarly activities. In addition, each Professor is awarded either a year's leave to pursue research during the second year of the award or a supplementary research grant.

Professor Mandic as well as the other nine winners will be honored at a ceremony at the March 12th Regents Meeting and a dinner on March 10th.
