School faculty, students and staff celebrated the opening of the Physics and Nanotechnology building on November 13, with a reception in the new building. Installation of furniture, whiteboards, etc. and customer training on various building systems will continue through December.
The interior building labs will continue to receive finishing touches including installation of casework and check-out of systems and fixtures to ensure that experimentalists' specifications are met. The first offices will be moved in January and current experimental programs will be moved from Tate to Physics/Nano by summer.
The University's official grand opening will take place in April, 2014.
