Goldman receives Buckley Prize

Allen Goldman received the 2015 Oliver E. Buckley Condensed Matter Physics Prize for his "discoveries and pioneering investigations of the superconductor-insulator transition, a paradigm for quantum phase transitions."

The Prize, sponsored by Lucent Technologiesm was established to recognize and encourage outstanding theoretical or experimental contributions to condensed matter physics and consists of $10,000 (divided equally) and a certificate with the appropriate citation. The prize was presented to Goldman by the American Physical Society at the 2015 Annual March Meeting.

Goldman shares this prize with Arthur Hebard, University of Florida; Aharon Kapitulnik, Stanford University and Matthew Fisher, University of California, Santa Barbara.
