Phys 5012.001

This course is a continuation of Physics 5011 on Classical Physics at the graduate level. We will be using the textbook "Classical Electrodynamics" 3rd edition by J. D. Jackson (Wiley, 1999). Chapters 1-4 were covered in 5011. We will cover the following chapters in the listed order: 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14.
Problems will be assigned on Fridays, collected in class the following Friday. They will count 40% towards the final grade. There will be two quizzes, counting 15% each, and a final examination, counting 30%.
