There are no pre-flights for Tues. or Wed. (11/24&11/25). There is a pre-flight for Monday 11/30 (but not for Tues. or Wed. 12/1&12/2). Wed. 12/2 we will review in lecure. Email me with questions or topics for review.

Reminder: We will not have labs or discussion section this week due to the Thanksgiving break.
The final quiz will be the week after break (Dec. 3&4) and will cover the material in Chapters 8,9,10&11.

There will be LA-led review sessions on Wed. 12/2 3:35-5:30 and Thurs. 12/3 10:05-12:00 (rooms TBA).

In Chapter 10, we will cover all sections except 10.8. In Chapter 11, we will only cover sections 11.1 and 11.2.
Chapter 12 is covered next semester in 1302. Chapter 13 material will be on our final exam.

This week we will continue to cover chapter 7 (conservation of energy) material. Chapter 7 HW will be due in class on Monday 11/2.
I plan to begin Chapter 8 (Momentum) on Wed.
There are pre-flights on Chap. 7 for Monday and Tuesday, and on Chap. 8, section (through pg 213-impulse) for Wednesday. Preflights must be done on WebVista by 8pm the night before lecture.
For lab this week, you will do Lab IV (problems 1&2). Do pre-lab quiz before coming to lab.

The quiz 2 scores have been posted. The average was a 67. For the group problem the average was 24; MC was 13; P1 was 19 and P2 was 11. Solutions are posted under 'Links.'
Please remember that if you feel you deserve a regrade, you must look at the on-line solution and write a note comparing your solution to the on-line solution and stating why you think you should have a re-grade. Please give this to your Ta or to Prof. Cattell.

This week the reading and homework in Chapter 6. There are pre-flight questions on WebVista due by 8pm the night before each lecture.

The HW problems are 15, 19, 37, 45, 71, 90 and are due in lecture on Monday 10/26.

The lab problems are 4&5 in Lab III. There is a pre-lab quiz on WebVista, which you must pass the night before your lab.

For week of Oct. 12 (Updated)

There will be no pre-flights (Pre-lecture questions on WebVista) for this week. The second quiz will be Oct. 15 (group) and Oct. 16 (individual). It will cover Chapters 4&5, as well as the earlier chapters. A practice quiz is posted.

Students whose last names start with A-J will take the individual quiz in the Bell Museum Auditorium; last names K-Z will be in Physics 150. Remember that no graphing calculators are allowed.

Starting next week (week of Oct. 19), the pre-flight questions will close at 8 PM not 5 PM.
