I worked for 35 years in the Particle Physics Department at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in England, finishing up as UK spokesperson for the MINOS long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment and leader of the local MINOS group. Previously I had worked on the Soudan 2 experiment in the Soudan mine since the early 1980s. So, on reaching the compulsory retirement age of 60 at RAL, I came to Minnesota to continue my association with the HEP group here and I am much enjoying the experience of living and working in the USA.
Research Areas: Paarticle Physics research, particularly the MINOS long baseline neutrino oscillation experiment and the Nova electron neutrino appearance experiment.
