PhysTEC learning assistants will be helping to educate their fellow students, gain valuable and postitive classroom experience and participate in outreach programs for the University such as PACES: Parents and Children Experience Science and Physics Force.

Qualifications

  • Required qualifications: Freshman or Sophmore
  • Preferred qualifications: At least a second semester freshman. Must have taken one of the intro physics sequences and did well in the courses.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • 25% Work with a faculty member on undergraduate courses
  • 50% Tutor and Mentor other students
  • 25% Work with SPA and CEHD staff on preparing materials to enhance teaching and learning in the introductory courses

We are currently seeking Learning Assistants for the Spring 2009 semester.
