Current Research

Large Scale Structure

From 2009-2011, I worked under Dr. Lawrence Rudnick studying the large scale structure of the universe in both radio and x-ray. The majority of my work focused on finding faint, diffuse radio halos in x-ray luminous galaxy clusters utilizing a novel "stacking" procedure. Ultimately this is used to explore the source of faint, diffuse radio emission in galaxy clusters, and their place in cluster evolution. Results for this work can be found in the publications below.

Theoretical Nuclear Physics

During the summer of 2011, I participated in a REU program at Texas A&M University's Cyclotron Institute, part of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. My work there was conducted under Dr. Ralf Rapp, exploring the production of heavy quarkonia (in this case bottomonia) as a probe into the phenomenology of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formed in heavy-ion collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
