Current Research

I am working with Professor Paul Crowell on ferromagnetic thin-films. Specifically, I will be exploring current-induced domain wall motion in nano-wires, whereby injection of electrical current can move a domain wall separating two magnetic domains by spin transfer torque. I will be using time-resolved Kerr spectroscopy in order to image these nano-wires and determine the characteristics of the motion.
