My name is Alex Hamill, and I am an incoming graduate student. My interest is in experimental condensed matter physics, mainly in the fields of topological physics, superconductivity, and low-dimensional systems/Van der Waals heterostructures. I am interested in research both exploratory in nature, being more fundamental in level, and also more practical in nature, devoted towards improving the human prospect such as through medical applications or addressing environmental issues.

Education

B.S. in Physics with a Math Minor, University of Pittsburgh
