Welcome to Physics 1302W.400 !

Please be sure to carefully read the syllabus, as it details the course schedule and important policies. This course website will be the source of important announcements, such as homework assignments, discussion session solutions, practice exams, exam solutions, etc.

Please note that discussion and lab sessions will meet during the first week of class. During the first week's lab session, your TA will outline the lab policies, and you will be administered a concept test that includes problems concerning topics that we will discuss this semester. Note that the results of this test will NOT count toward your course grade and have no bearing on any aspects of the course. Think of this as simply a warm-up to start you thinking about topics we will cover this semester.

One lab section is scheduled on Mondays. Since the Monday during the first week of classes is a University holiday, the TA for this session will go over lab policies with you during the Thursday discussion session. However, if you would like to take the warm-up test, please feel free to attend another lab section (just for this week). Of course there is no penalty at all for not taking this test.

This week, there will only be class on Tuesday. Wednesday’s class is cancelled and will be made up next week, on Friday, January 26.

Note also that there will be a first homework assignment this week.
