About My Work

I study medium to high frequency plasma waves in the Earth's upper atmosphere, magnetosphere, and in the solar wind with satellite data (primarily) from the Van Allen Probes, THEMIS, STEREO, and Wind. I’m currently studying global-scale coherence of whistler mode chorus and hiss waves caused by ULF waves originating in the solar wind. This involves comparing satellite observations of chorus and hiss to stratospheric Balloon Array for Radiation belt Relativistic Electron Losses (BARREL) observations of precipitating electrons.
