Richard E. Pontinen, Ph.D. 1962

I got my Ph.D. in Low Temperature Physics with advisor T.M. Sanders. I have been at Hamline University as a Professor for 32 years, and department chair for 22 years.

I am married, 2 children (both physics majors), 2 grandchildren. My favorite memory was the discovery of a "New" Resonance in 86 doped GE (good for a PhD). Tim Sanders was my favorite professor.
