Frontiers of Condensed Matter Theory Workshop

The Fine Theoretical Physics Institute (FTPI) is hosting a Workshop in memory of Professor Anatoly Larkin, holder of the William I. and Bianca M. Fine Chair in Theoretical Physics, who died last August.

The Workshop features many well-known physicists in the area of Condensed Matter Theory. Speakers are luminaries in the field including Anthony Leggett, the 2003 Nobel Laureate in Physics, as well as many distinguished former collaborators of Professor Larkin. This conference covers a broad range of subjects in contemporary condensed matter theory. Sessions are being held Thursday through Sunday, May 4-7 in Cowles Auditorium at the Hubert H. Humphrey Center on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota. Talks begin at 9:00 a.m. and run throughout the day.
