Bahcall to Deliver 2003 Van Vleck Lectures


John N. Bahcall, theoretical astrophyscist and Richard Black Professor of Natural Sciences at the Institute for Advanced Study will deliver the 2003 Van Vleck Lectures.

The subject of Bahcall's public lecture will be "How does the Sun Shine?" and will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at 4:00 p.m. A reception will follow the lecture in Room 216. He will also deliver a School of Physics and Astronomy Colloquium on "Solar Neutrinos" the following day at 4:00 p.m. Both Van Vleck Lectures will be held in Room 150 Tate Laboratory of Physics.
