Current Research

My research interests are centered on experimental tests of grand unified theories, the neutrino sector of the standard model and high-energy cosmic-ray observations. This include searches for nucleon decay and magnetic monopoles, investigations of neutrino oscillations and searches for possible point sources of cosmic rays. This research is centered at the Soudan Underground Laboratory, located in Soudan Underground Mine State Park in northern Minnesota. Expansion of this laboratory into a national facility is the most exciting prospect beyond the arrival in 2005 of the neutrino beam from Fermilab.
