Quantum transport in quantum Hall systems [Research Web Page]

About My Work

Our research focuses on experimental studies of quantum transport phenomena in semiconductor quantum structures, such as GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells. One direction is on non-linear and non-equilibrium low-temperature magnetotransport where we study the effects of microwave radiation, dc electric fields, and acoustic phonons on transport properties. Relevant phenomena include microwave-induced resistance oscillations and zero-resistance states, Hall field-induced resistance oscillations and zero-differential resistance states, and phonon-induced resistance oscillations. We also explore the experimental regimes where these phenomena coexist. Another direction concerns linear-response magnetotransport phenomena in high magnetic fields and ultra-low temperatures. Here, the relevant phenomena are quantized Hall effects, stripes and bubble phases, etc.
